In a move to add more depth to the secondary, the Eagles have announced the signing of former Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick to a deal. To make room for Scandrick, the Birds cut popular linebacker, L.J. Fort.

Fort signed a three-year, $5.5 million deal in March, but the need for a cornerback was urgent and although he wasn’t getting any reps on regular downs, the linebacker had the third-most special teams snaps after 4 games for the Eagles.
