Antonio Cromartie prefers Eric Bieniemy over Adam...

Antonio Cromartie is already out on Adam Gase.

The former Jets cornerback doesn’t think Gase has a future with the Jets and said he’s not the man for the job.

“No, not at all,” Cromartie told TMZ, adding that while it’s too late for the team to make a coaching change, he’d hire Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy as coach.

Gase was a frequent target of fans when the Jets got out to a 1-7 start amid increased expectations. Despite the rough beginning, Jets CEO Christopher Johnson gave Gase a vote of confidence in November when he declared Gase would remain the Jets coach for the 2020 season.

Eyebrows were raised after the season ended when Gase addressed whether he wanted Le’Veon Bell on the team and said “he’s under contract for three more years,” before adding that GM Joe Douglas could be asked about Bell.

Bell recently told TMZ that his exit meeting with Gase was “fine” and “we straight.”

Still, there were signs Cromartie saw that Gase isn’t enamored with Bell.

“We won’t give a running back the ball in the second half of a game, that shows you that you’re trying to say that you don’t need him,” Cromartie said. “I think he just needs to be with somebody that respects him as a player and respects what he can do.”
